Position Overview:
As a Speech-Language Pathologist at Lightning Therapy, you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. You will work with a diverse population, including adults, and seniors, helping them develop the skills necessary to communicate effectively and improve their quality of life. Your role will involve creating individualized treatment plans, providing direct therapy, and collaborating with families and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and evidence-based practices.
- Provide direct therapy to patients, using a variety of techniques and tools to address communication and swallowing challenges.
- Educate and counsel patients and their families on communication strategies, therapy techniques, and the importance of ongoing practice.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and family members to ensure coordinated and effective care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, progress, and outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies.
- Stay current with the latest research, techniques, and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology to provide the highest quality care.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current licensure or certification to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Florida.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required.
- Strong understanding of speech-language pathology principles, techniques, and best practices, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
- A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care, with a strong desire to help individuals improve their communication abilities and quality of life.
