Trained in Bladder Incontinence Management

When you must go, you must go! Have you ever had the feeling that you need to use the bathroom right after you just used the bathroom.

Do you have trouble getting to the bathroom in time resulting in an accident?

Trained Lightning Therapy clinicians are trained in Bladder and Bowel Incontinence Management and can help you manage these symptoms through training in voiding schedules, fluid and diet management and strengthening of the pelvic floor muscles.

Studies show that nearly 51% of people 65 years old and older report bladder/bowel incontinence. This is an alarming statistic, but many forms of urinary incontinence can even effect adults of any age.

Incontinence can affect various aspects of a person’s life including social, psychological, occupational, familial, and physical components leading to feelings of social isolation, dependency, and body image issues.

Lightning Therapy practitioners are specifically trained in identifying physical, environmental and behavior factors impacting urinary continence.

Following the initial evaluation, our practitioners will then design a treatment plan specific to the client to work towards decreasing incidences of incontinence leading to an improved level of self-confidence, decreased social isolation, and allowing the client to engage in daily and social activities that they enjoy without the fear of needing to restrict their lifestyle.
